Jeff McLarty

Jeff McLarty brings over two decades of hands-on leadership and entrepreneurial success to his role as a Licensed Navigational Conversations Facilitator and FocalPoint Business Coach. His dynamic approach combines real-world experience with proven coaching methodologies to help technical founders and business leaders navigate growth challenges.

As a serial entrepreneur, Jeff’s most notable achievement was growing Miner’s Development Group, a multi-faceted tourism and retail operation, where he increased sales revenue by 125% and profitability by 200% within six years before a successful exit. His diverse executive experience includes serving as COO of an innovative heavy payload drone startup and Executive Director of United Way of Southern Alberta, where he honed his skills in strategic leadership and stakeholder engagement.

Jeff’s expertise in facilitating transformative business conversations stems from his extensive work with both corporate and non-profit sectors. His approach is particularly effective with technical founders and specialized trade businesses, helping them bridge the gap between technical expertise and business leadership. As a Licensed Navigational Conversations Facilitator, he empowers leaders to create meaningful dialogue that drives organizational change and sustainable growth.

Currently based in Edmonton with his family, Jeff maintains strong community connections through active volunteerism and business leadership roles. His previous board positions include Economic Development Lethbridge and the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce, where he contributed to regional economic growth initiatives. He was also instrumental in establishing the Lethbridge chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and the South Canadian Rockies Destination Management Association.

Jeff holds certifications in Navigational Conversations and FocalPoint Business Coaching, complementing his education from Lethbridge Polytechnic and Olds College. He is currently pursuing his MBA, demonstrating his commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

His philosophy on business coaching reflects his passionate approach: ‘Building business has always excited me – imagining possibilities, creating tomorrow’s successes, and collaborating for growth. As a facilitator and coach, I get to partner with leaders who are ready to transform their organizations through powerful conversations and strategic action.’
